LOOK BOOK: FORMATION

Words: Taryn Bester | Photographs: Stephen Bryan Photography| Styling: Taryn Bester

Hey Guys and Happy Monday!

Where has the time gone? This month has had some major curve balls for me and certainly wasn’t the easiest, which came to my shocking surprise because I was sort of getting a hang of this year.

However, I have so many things to be grateful for in my life. I won’t allow one set back to awaken fear or doubt.  After all, not everything can be "smooth sailing". How else would we learn and grow? If everything goes our way then something might be terribly wrong, because we shouldn’t live by our own will, but by the divine intervention of the most high.

Having that said, moving into a new month brings new hope, new opportunities and a new way of thinking, thanks to everything we have learnt in the previous months. Soon the nights will become shorter and the days longer and we will all sit back and smile as new doors open up for you and me. This is my wish for you, Have a blessed August.

ABOUT THIS LOOK
Styling my “React” boot from Bronx Woman South Africa has become such a breeze. I have been wearing it all winter long and people might be thinking that I don’t have other shoes/ boots, but I honestly don’t care. I absolutely love them! I will be sharing more ways to style it on air (Heart 104.9 Fm) soon, but before I get carried away with them let’s give this look a moment. I paired a white high-rise skinny leg jeans with this velvet doll dress to firstly, keep my legs warm and because this dress is such an awkward length. Wearing fitted denims with it makes it more wearable, comfortable and appropriate for daytime. I wore this to a coffee date one Saturday afternoon and it can transition into a night look as well. The lace sleeves kept my look sexy, but didn’t compromise on cuteness which is exactly what dressing up on a Saturday means in my books.
