Hey Guys!
Last night, I attended the Shana Morland Autumn Winter collection showcase at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town. While writing this I can still hear the music ringing in my ear and visualize the models strutting down the runway. Moments when Shana's beautiful designs came to life and had my eyes staring at every move, so much that I didn't even share my favourite looks on Instagram.  That's why I made sure that I am in front of my laptop first thing this morning, writing.

Shana is known for her soft elegant designs with either lace or silks, but this time around she incorporated  velvet too. This once again shows us how big the velvet trend will be this winter and that it can be worn in almost anything. I have been watching Shana's Instagram account closely and have seen how busy she is designing wedding gowns and outfits. Therefore, these pieces shown last night are absolutely perfect for occasions  of that caliber or even matric dances and graduation balls etc. The highlight of it all is seeing how Shana brought along her collection for younger girls which add such cuteness to the show. This to me also shows how much she has grown as a designer to latch onto creating master pieces for little princesses.

With having that said, I leave you with my favourite from the show. Enjoy!

Ave︣ne Launches into Dis-Chem Pharmacy stores in South Africa.

27 March 2017

Hey Beesy Bees, hope you had an absolutely wonderful weekend! Mine was well-balanced with work and play. However, I felt pretty bumped that I couldn’t post about this amazing event sooner.

The Ave︣ne event took place on 16th March at the beautiful Alphen Boutique Hotel with a perfect French setting. A few other beauty bloggers and I received our personalised name tags on arrival and had our pictures taken too, this made me feel like a true VIP. Thereafter, we headed to a lounge area where we chatted about all sorts of things to each other over a cappuccino until it was time to head into the conference room.  This is where everything became much clearer to me; the truth about my own skin concerns was addressed without me saying a single word. I felt intrigued and eager to learn so much more, because the valuable information received was given by professionals such as a qualified dermatologist, Ave︣ne product users, the Dis-Chem Pharmacy team, Ave︣ne founders and so much more. I now really know how crucial it is to apply sunscreen daily. Hearing about how much damages the sun causes to my skin was a huge wake-up call and made me more cautious of even the slightest exposure to the sun.  Moreover, the most comforting thought is that, even if my skin has been suffering silently over the years there is help; there is hope… thanks to Ave︣ne.

A delicious lunch was served after this informative talk. I chatted to like-minded people while nibbling on some delicious foods and not long after this, two other bloggers and I were interviewed by the Ave︣ne camera crew. This was super fun, but nerve-wracking for me too lol. I can’t wait to see the end result and will certainly share it right here as soon as it’s released (watch this space). Until then, please enjoy these images and watch out for the Ave︣ne product review.

News is out! Bolton Footwear the leaders in South African Footwear has taken over well-known brands such as Jordan, Bronx Men and Woman, Grasshopper, Barker and more and ready to serve you with all these brands under one roof.

They invited myself along with a few other media influences and bloggers to an exclusive preview of their winter collection yesterday. The event setting was fun, hip with a fresh new concept held at the De Waal Park, Cape Town. We arrived at the designated area for the event and received a Bolton Footwear branded blanket ready to picnic on after grabbing a delicious wrap from the food truck.  It was my very first time watching a red carpet being rolled out in the middle of a park, ready to be turned into a runway. Models came dancing out and ready to bring the footwear to life during a flash mob showcase.

Overall, I think that Bronx Woman together with the other brands has some amazing styles for the upcoming season and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. But! Let me stop writing and leave you with some pictures of the event and the collections showcased.

CTMS 2017

Hey Guys and Happy FriYaY!

On Saturday, 28th January the annual Cape Town Motor Car show kicked off at the Grand Arena. Unfortunately, I missed it but Danni the amazing woman who takes most of my outfit pictures attended on my behalf and this is what she had to say…

“The show was huge and took over one side in the car park, the entire sun exhibit, grand arena and the space outside the sun exhibit. On arrival the crew members guided us around and gave us a tour around the cars and bikes on display. I started at one section of the “personally owned” show cars which was an awesome warm up to the event. The cars were in immaculate conditions, from standard classics like Datsun, Subaru and VW to custom build machines which had two steering wheels,55" flat screens perfect for gaming and of cause SOUND SOUND SOUND and more SOUND!!!
One half of the parking lot was designated for sound match and their drifting team. They did not only manage their displays that totally hyped up the crowd, but they also offered anyone eager enough and at a cost of R100, the chance to ride along in tandem drifts.
One group experienced a tyre burst during the drift which was dealt with so well that I only saw the tyre after it had been taken aside to be changed. From there we were ushered to the Sun Exhibit... Bring on the bikes!!! We viewed the antique cars and thereafter stepped out to the beer garden. We relaxed to the sounds of a live band performing and alongside the Range Rover display, Jaguar, BMW and a fun wiggle station hosted by Mr Wiggle. During the course of the day a host of fun competitions were hosted and amazing car prizes was up for grabs. The view from the outdoor exhibit was breath taking with the view of Table Mountain so clear! The last stop on our car adventure trail was the Grand Arena! The arena hosted cars like Audi, Jaguar, Porsche, Kia, etc. and of cause Mustang's Shelby which was the car, in my opinion, that stole the show! As we made our way in it looked like everyone inside was gathered around the Mustangs on show and for good reason, those cars are Sexy as Hell!!! And that was the end of our car tour.”
If you missed it this year, then I suggest you keep your eyes over here: for updates on next year’s show.

Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week

12 August 2016

Happy FriYaY!

I am quickly stopping by to leave you with my latest fashion scoop, keeping all you beesy bees on trend with the most recent happenings in our local fashion world. By now you might know that South African Designers are currently showcasing their spring summer 16/17 collections, at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Johannesburg. This high-status fashion event is taking place over this entire weekend and commenced on Wednesday evening, 10th August 2016. At first I was a bit puzzled and taken aback by this, because usually this season’s showcase takes place in Cape Town which is my home town. However, this strategic change has been enforced by the AFI having SA’s Fashion designers best interest in mind. This is to assist designers to increase their selling power and awaken new growth and development for fashion nationally. You can read more about this here

I was in particularly invited to the Shana and Stefania Morland show, but unfortunately I could not attend. I decided to allow this opportunity to pass and attend a church service instead. Yes, that’s right! For those of you who might not know by now, I am a New Apostolic Christian and attended a divine service held by our apostle. Usually, my church has mid-week service on a Wednesday evening, but this week it was a bit more special. Long story short, this is also the reason why I hardly attend events on a Wednesday evening. I am sharing all this details with, because my readers are just as important to me as my family. I want you guys to be a part of everything as much as possible and give you a true reflection of who MISS2BEESY is. Thankfully, Justin ( “Mister2Beesy” ) was in Santon for work purposes and could attend the shows on my behalf.  All shows are currently taking place in Mandela Square Sandton in the centre of SA’S economic hub. He was able to bring us some great live updates during the show which you can view on Instagram and Twitter.

Shana once again exhibited a beautiful collection which is perfect for the upcoming season. Her designs are filled with softness, subtleness, and femininity. Whereas, Stephania at the other hand brings out a more artsy feeling in all the designs by combining prints, colour, frills and florals.  I now leave you to wonder over these pictures and allow them to do the rest of the talking.  Enjoy!

On Thursday, 23rd June I attended an extremely informative make-up workshop. This fun event was held at Mondiall Kitchen and bar overlooking the V&A Waterfront Harbour, hosted by the amazing ladies from Finnis and Faye who specializes in distributing various make-up products within South Africa. The intimate setting with not more than 20 ladies leads to a very cosy and informative morning.

The event commenced with a step by step make-up demonstration done by Jane a professional make-up artist. It included a number of helpful tips and things that I never knew of. She started off this make-up look on the beautiful face of her model with a Bodyography primer then moved into the foundation and contouring. The most important lesson here was to blend, blend and blend until all the product has set into the skin flawlessly. Jane then moved into the eyes by sculpturing the brows and taught us how to perfect it. She mentioned the various trends in brows and how important the tools (brushes) are that you are using and to keep it looking natural.

Bodyography is a well-known product in over 30 countries and has high quality pigments to create striking cosmetics. It has been developed to suit any person's needs for any occasion. Bodyography is also an environmentally conscious company and 100% animal cruelty free.

The friendly make-up assistants helped me to perfect my existing make-up routine by recommending products suitable for my skin and also showed me a specific technique to use when holding my brushes and sculpting my brows. The major treat of the event was the fact that we could fill an empty eye shadow pallet with shades of our choice. We also left with a highly informative booklet with the basics of make-up for various face shapes. This is fantastic because, I will be able to give you guys more professional tips soon. I also asked Jane what the perfect make-up routine would be for a busy bee who is always on the go and doesn't have a lot of time to spend on make-up and she said the key areas would be primer, foundation, eyes(liner and mascara ) and a lip.
We received such pretty things in our goodie bag! Thanks Bodyography

Thank you for reading about this experience.
You can join these workshops too! See the Bodyography social media pages for more info.

On Mother's Day!

13th May 2016
Firstly, for those of you who might not know what a mimosa is… it’s  half a glass of white champagne topped up with either orange or mango juice. I have to admit I didn’t know either until I Googled it ahead of my stay at the Bliss Boutique hotel which you can read about over on the lifestyle page.

On Sunday 8th May 2016 also known as Mother’s day my mom and I attended the #manisandmimosas brunch after enjoying an overnight stay at Bliss Boutique. We were offered a delicious and beautiful brunch and I say beautiful, because all the treats were so picture friendly to post on Instagram lol.  The brunch consisted of croissants, cocktail apple pies, Choc chip muffins, scones, muesli and yogurt, fresh fruit kebabs and juice only to name a few and a hot breakfast which consisted of eggs benedict.

When we arrived from church Sunday morning the Foxbox team was already on board to treat us to a manicure with a wide range of Morgan Taylor nail colours to choose from. I was extremely indecisive as always, but somehow both my mom and I ended up with a pink colour. The Bliss Boutique team treated us like queens and made it difficult to leave, but as they say…"all good things come to an end." Mom and I got the car keys from the front desk along with a little sweet Thank You gift then said our goodbyes and headed for the car to go home. I now leave you with a few captured moments and pictures of the treats we were served.

Diesel has chosen the V&A Waterfront to debut its new retail design concept in South Africa and celebrated with an exclusive in-store event on Thursday 23 March 2016.

The new concept perfectly captures the expression of the brand's alternative to luxury positioning. Guests were spoilt with a selection of beautifully crafted footwear and accessories, iconic fashion garments and of course, a wide selection of denim, where the emphasis is on the quality and mastery of the brand.

Guests included tattoo model Shane Burnell, artist Ana Kuni and stylist Sian Bianca Moss all wearing Diesel's latest collection as well as actress Tanya van Graan, Afternoon Express Presenters Daniello Aquisto, Jeannie D singer Jimmy Nevis, TV Presenters Katlego Maboe & Tracy-Lee Rosslind.

You might wonder why they relaunched in Cape Town, South Africa. Well, allow me to tell you about diesel's new retail experience:

Diesel has chosen the V&A Waterfront to debut its new retail design concept in South Africa. This new concept was designed in collaboration with Japanese architect firm Wonderwall and Diesel Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti.

Store design features include a wooden engineered floor, customized chandeliers and Foscarini lamps. Luxurious brown, black and white leather combined with industrial black metal fixtures in various finishes, perfectly highlight the contrast between antique and technologically advanced features of the store. It is the perfect expression of the brand's alternative to luxury positioning.
The store boasts a lavish seated area for customers to admire beautifully crafted footwear and accessories. State of the art fitting rooms create a tranquil yet premium ambience where customers are free to transform themselves.

Denim, Diesel's core product, has various dedicated sections within the store, emphasizing the quality and mastery of the brand in this category. Striking denim walls display key styles and washes of the 5 pocket range, while the newly introduced Doctor Denim table showcase a selection of denim items and allow stylists to engage with customers on the features and benefits of the product. Movement and durability come together at the Jogg Jeans section, where you will find a cutting edge crossbreed between jeans and active wear. It's evident that there are many touchpoints where one can experience the heritage and craftsmanship of Diesel denim, it is after all the ultimate in collectable fashion. Says Renzo Rosso, Diesel's founder: "I'm enthusiastic about the future-forward change the brand is spear-heading in retail."

Locals were invited to join the conversation on social media using the hashtag #DieselWaterfront which trended on Twitter during the evening. VIP’S left with a goodie bag and received one of the Diesel fragrances as a gift along with a Diesel branded mug to sip their morning glory in. ;-)  Overall, this event was a hit and will linger on forever.

A new premium shirt brand, Louis ii Shirts, has launched in South Africa, offering the best hand-cut, ready-to-wear shirts available in the country and Miss2Beesy was invited. The launch took place at the Queen Victoria Hall, inside the Cape Town Club on Tuesday evening, 8th March 2016. For those of you who don’t know, this is the very first time I ever feature something from a menswear collection. Well, there is a very particular reason for this and you will find that at the end of this post...carry on reading.

With a very intimate setting we were surrounded with a few well known bloggers and photographers such as Shiraz Reddy from Boy on the Park Bench, Stylist Lee Fraser, Photographer Larry English and Justin Smith from MMAFundi to name a few. We were very privileged to meet both Louis Gwatkin and Elton David, the gentlemen behind Louis ii Shirts, after listening to their interesting speeches. The selection of hand cut and hand crafted shirts offer the kind of high quality, fine finishes, and attention to detail expected from London’s Jermyn Street and Savile Row. Four highly skilled seamstresses work on each shirt, using the finest quality Egyptian cotton and mother of pearl buttons.

Louis ii Shirts is the brainchild of Cape Town based TV commercials producer, David Elton, who discovered and loved the shirts of Jermyn Street when he lived in London. When the rand became so weak that the shirts became unaffordable, Elton decided to see if they could be made locally and tried to track down Louis Gwatkin, a legendary Savile Row, London trained bespoke shirt and suit maker. Before his retirement some years ago, Gwatkin had made shirts for Elton in Johannesburg.

“But he’d disappeared – had dementia, died, gone back to UK, definitely dead, was the answer to my enquiries. No telephone record of him anywhere in South Africa,” explains Elton. After much detective work, Googling, telephone calls, and finally connecting with his daughter on Facebook, Elton managed to track down Gwatkin, well and truly retired. “After a couple of bottles of wine and reminiscing about the old days, we decided to make the shirts – the best shirts in South Africa. A Jermyn Street shirt-maker’s shirt. The best in the world,” Elton continues. That wasn’t the end, though. It took the pair a further two years to find local cutters, and train seamstresses to produce the quality they deemed acceptable - many simply turned down the work, saying the quality demanded was unachievable

Finally, now, a limited collection of hand-crafted, ready-to-wear shirts in a range of plains, stripes, checks and florals, made to Jermyn Street standards are available to buy online in South Africa. The shirts use proper two fold (2x2) long staple Egyptian cotton, in 100’s and 110’s poplin and other high quality cotton fabrics. Which makes them different from any other shirt you will find. A few of these shirts were neatly wrapped and on display for us to marvel at. We also had the opportunity to feel the texture and quality of the shirt and it was beyond my expectation. Thereafter, we mixed and mingled with Louis and David while sipping on some delicious wine and canapes.I thoroughly enjoyed this event and now can say that every bees bee needs a man in a shirt by her side and more so a Louis ii Shirt. ;-)

Mangwanani African Day Spa Jets Off to

The Alphen Boutique Hotel.

Hello ladies and gents!
I hope you are all feeling vibrant and reaching the goals you have set for this week. With that said, I think you deserve to take five and sit back for this read.
You might all know by now that I was selected to be one out of seven brand ambassadors for the Mangwanani Original African Day spa Cape Town late last year. Thus far it has been an absolute mind blowing and amazing experience to be affiliated with the Mangwanani brand. I am constantly treated like royalty and I am exposed to so many things that I will cherish forever, but then again Mangwanani treats everyone like royalty, that’s just part of their culture. Speaking about royalty, on Friday 19th February a group of beautiful Mangwanani Spa ladies packed up all their goodies and headed to The Alphen Boutique Hotel in true African style. Being the beesy bee that I usually am, I accepted their invitation without any hesitation and tagged along.
The Alphen Boutique Hotel situated in the heart of Constantia, Cape Town hosted some VVIP’S from all over South Africa for a weekend conference. These folks were able to bring their families along to enjoy the beautiful Mother City. While the conference was taking place on Friday afternoon Mangwanani installed a mobile spa to treat the wives and children of these very important business men. A foot massage or a head and shoulder massage was on offer using only the finest Mangwanani spa products.
The highlight of the day was seeing the girls sitting in one spa chair while their mom sits in another sipping on some bubbly, like African queens and princesses. Mangwanani spa branches can be found nationwide and also offers corporate wellness packages.
See their website for detailed information.
Hit Play!

Thank you for reading!
Ps. Please share you Mangwanani Spa experiences with me via twitter @miss2beesy or Facebook and you might be a winner ;-).
I would love to hear all about it.

02 December 2015
You might have seen my little introduction about this event I attended a few weeks back. For those of you who didn’t attend you can now sit back and relax while I give you the load down.

This event took place at The Look Out in Granger Bay, V&A Waterfront and this venue  is certainly a must see. It’s not named The Look Out for nothing as the view over the ocean from the deck is spectacular. This expo was a great platform for consumers to meet directly with sellers and speak to them about their beauty needs and concerns. I enjoyed every moment because, this was the best way to spend time with fellow bloggers, educate myself and shop! Lol

I expected some more delicious food vendors but, this event made room for food trucks outside after all it’s a beauty show and not a food show …duh! The Mangwanani spa ladies were standing by to rub all our tired feet for only R100.00 per treatment which was a giveaway. Each brand had a time slot on stage to showcase their products and give us some wonderful tips. To me this was a great idea because, we were actually given the opportunity to see what the products could do before purchasing.
However, what is the point of having all the hair products, make-up and skin care products if you have nothing to wear? Well, this was all taken care of as the Cape Town Design Academy of Fashion showcased their latest designs on the runway for all of us to see. Tickets were on sale from for R120.00 since early November so just in case you would like to attend next year you got the deets.

I hope you enjoyed this read and don’t forget to either comment below, drop me an email or a tweet to share your thoughts.

15 September 2015
Hey there go getters

I hope you are enjoying every moment of September and having as a productive week as I am. I know you guys are always on top of things, right? You might have seen on social media that the official launch of Kardashian Beauty South Africa took place on Wednesday, 9th September 2015. Well sit back as I give you the low-down of what took place at this event.

This event was held at Mario’s Company for hair in Main road, Green Point.  I once again arrived late due to a number of reasons and traffic in to town. I was fortunate enough to listen to the last part of the speeches just before the cocktail party which allowed me to get some more information about what I missed and about the products so, that I can share it with you. Now, you might also know that I do not always attend events on a Wednesday evening as I would rather attend divine services (“church”) something I simply would not want to miss; however, I was fortunate enough to attend the morning service instead.

After the introduction and demonstration of the products I was able to get my hair styled by one of the stylist using the Kardashian 3-in-1 Hairstyling Iron valued at R 2,895.00. This can be used to style hair into Smooth, Curl and wavy looks. The styling iron is a multifunctional hairstyling tool designed to create numerous styles with ease. Versatile heat settings enable the iron to be used as a curling or straightening iron to smooth, curl or wave the hair into customized styles. Ceramic plates infused with Black Seed Oil promote long lasting smoothness and shine within any styling routine. My hair was styled into a loose curl and parted into various sections using the Kardashian back comb priced at R175.00. This comb is great for back combing and styling, ideal for all hair types and among other things act is a multi-prong comb that helps tease hair for maximum volume. The stylist then added a small drop of black seed dry oil to the palm of his hands and evenly distributed it to my hair. This product works wonders and I have already tried it at home. It costs R450.00 for a 90ml bottle which is a nutrient rich treatment and styling aid that rejuvenates and nourishes hair so it appears strong, thick, smooth and gloriously shiny. This ultra-light formula is easily absorbed, instantly nourishing and smoothing hair leaving no residue behind. All these products are exclusively sold at Mario’s and online from:

Thereafter, I was ready to have a ball of a time with other bloggers and friends. We enjoyed the delicious roaming canapés and of course took tons of pictures. I however, found so much joy in marvelling over the products on display and was fascinated by all of them. We then received some great news which I will be sharing with you some time next year God willing as we might have these gorgeous sisters in town then, but stay tuned.  We were also told about all the amazing discount specials running after various competition winners were announced. The evening ended on a good note and all of us left with a Kardashian branded goodie bag filled with chocolate treats and a sample bottle of black seed dry oil.

Secretaries Day 2015

14 September 2015

Hey Luvs

I am just stopping by to tell you about the amazing secretaries’ day I was able to attend on 2nd September, 2015 at Shimmy Beach Club, Cape Town. Mangwanani the original African day Spa invited me along to this prestigious occasion in celebration of all the value and efforts secretaries add to various institutions.
For once I arrived on time which added so much to my day because, I'm always late. I stepped into the venue which was decorated with spring blossoms all around and tables neatly set out by Sorrento Events. Everyone was enjoying some welcome drinks and mingling around while I started Snapchatting about what was happening. The Clarins make –up ladies were standing by and ready to make all of us look our best, while Legacy collection jewellery made from the original fence from Robben Island prison was on display. Swiftly thereafter, we were all invited into the dining area where speeches were made and prizes were handed over.
At this stage the secretaries were already lining up to get  either a foot, hand or neck massage from the very talented, friendly, skilled and polite Mangwanani African Spa therapists. This group of well-equipped ladies payed close attention to detail and enjoyed every moment of massaging all the tense shoulders of these hard working individuals.I watched how all the secretaries left with a smile while completing their feedback card which I can assume was very pleasing to all the therapists that were on board that day.
During the course of the day we were also entertained with some live performances and a short fashion show just before lunch was served. This made my toes curl and heart race with excitement, as all the models were dressed in latest designs from Kluk CGDT straight from fashion week. I felt in awe of all the staggering art pieces and the blissful atmosphere. It was absolutely wonderful to see so many brands working together in aid of creating a memorable day for busy and hardworking secretaries. At the end of this day I was delighted to see that so many people have the exact same smile on their faces. They seemed extremely relaxed and ready to conquer whatever comes their way.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.

31 August 2015

Hey guys!
I hope you are enjoying the last day of August and hopefully the last few moments of this chilly winter. Last, Thursday evening I had the privilege of attending the opening launch of the new Shana Morland store. Yes, that’s right; the Shana Collection which was strutting down the runway at this year’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town is now available for purchase in store.  Attending this event was amazing and gave me a taste of spring by just being surrounded by all things tropical and fruity.

From pineapples to strawberries and wonderful fabrics, every piece had my name on it. I thought of opting to be dressed as a watermelon lol but, ended up as an apple. I sadly had to keep on my blazer because of the cold Cape Town weather L and could not show off my outift. The evening proceeded with an opening speech and a competition draw for one of the brand’s clothing pieces. While meeting some fabulous folk from Glamour magazine, GET IT, CTIFC, etc. we were able to enjoy the snacks served and marvel at the beautiful illustrations crafted by Cassandra Leigh.

Shana the master mind behind the brand shared with us the following and I now would like to share this exciting news with you.

Our new POP UP space initiative which will encompass other brands from any design field be it furniture, jewelry or fashion to retail for limited periods within the store space. The SHANA brand started as a ‘Pop Up’ shop on Kloof Street and has this concept to thank for its current success, within the local fashion industry. The problem that many businesses face is not only a tough and highly competitive economy, but also being able to secure premises, install shop fittings and open its doors month after month. The appeal will be a ‘Get it while it’s hot’ scenario, of fresh brands in their respective design fields that share similar characteristics and outlook on design, as the SHANA label. The SHANA store comes hot on the heels of launching the summer collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week Cape Town, which was in collaboration with Cape Town based illustrator, Cassandra Leigh. Cassandra Leigh will be the first to occupy the ‘Pop Up’ space, with her alluring prints. On another note PARKING is now available across the road in the church parking lot and will be redeemed on any purchase.

All activities came to a close for me but the beautiful light spring fabric garments which hang on the rails will forever linger on until my next visit to the store.
Limited edition Prints by Cassandra Leigh available to be purchased in store.
Cassandra Leigh, Taryn Bester and Shana Morland.

I love hearing from you so, please be sure to leave your comment below. If you do visit the new store then please snap a picture or tweet us @shanamorland and @miss2beesy and tell us what you think it.
Thank you for reading!

Hello all you Fashionistas.
I am sure you have been following Miss2Beesy on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram of course.  You might have seen that I was fortunate to attend the sold out Cosmopolitan Magazine annual jeans show! Now grab your cuppa hot choc (see miss2beesy mug designs here) and get ready for your inside scoop. See my outfit details here.
Thursday, 11th June Cosmopolitan hosted their jeans show at
Canal Walk-Shopping Centre and showcased a variety of spring denim trends. This was a public event and tickets were made available to be purchased prior to the evening via Web Tickets. Justin and I arrived at Canal Walk and headed towards the food court area which was allocated to the fashion show for the evening. The catwalk was out and the Cosmopolitan red carpet too. We were once again treated like royalty with Canapés and JC.LE Roux Champagne, not forgetting our Guess Dare Perfume and gift vouchers we got spoiled with. After seeing so many familiar faces such as local celebrities, Mishka Patel ( Miss South Africa 2014) and other Fashion Bloggers Mixy- Le Papillons and Juanita –Faith, Fashion and Living Fabulously, we got ready for the show and took up the seats in the front row winx directly opposite the editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine Cathy Lund. This was just so that we do not miss anything and able to give you the best.

The show started with an amazing opening scene where dancers performed in some jeans and got us moving in our seats. Thereafter, models came out styled in denims in various ways sponsored by retailers and brands such as Forever New South Africa, Stuttfords, Levis, Jet and some more. All of these brands can be shopped at Canal Walk from denim jackets, shorts, boyfriend jeans and my ultimate favourite distress denims which I wore on the night, see here.  The denim on denim trend was shown amongst other trends like denim pencil skirts which are great for an office look. I ultimately loved the spring collection and cannot wait to get my hands on a few pieces which I shall not disclose just yet... stay tuned to Miss2Beesy blog as you might see them in some outfit posts.
LG was also one of the evening’s main brands making waves with launching the new G4 cell phone and I also recently saw on the Expresso show that their newest washing machine has a function which is solely for washing your denims. I think it’s extremely innovative and will make your denims last much longer.
Thank you for reading and do not forget to enter the jeans competition. See details on Miss2BeesyFacebook page to stand a chance of winning Guess Dare Perfume. Pictures of this event will be posted on the magazines Facebook page soon.

Red Carpet Event

May 1st, 2015 sparked some major fireworks in the hearts and lives of a few very talented young individuals. The crowing of the face of DDEM Management, known as one of Cape Town’s most innovative events and marketing management companies. This red  carpet event took place at the Protea Fire and Ice Hotel situated  in the CBD which allows  you to wake up to the most beautiful  views of Table Mountain.

Established in 2012, DDEM Management is a Cape Town-based company specialising in a variety of events marketing and promotions. They are known for bringing ideas to life! I have grown to know their team by the good reputation they have for delivering only the best and still mindful of not leaving a hole in their clients pockets/purses. The DDEM team comprises of award winning staff in dressmaking, make-up, photography, film, graphic designing, promotions, artistry and now their new brand ambassador Donae-lee Marinus. Their services consist of event organizing which you can read more about over here.

The crowing of the face of DDEM was a very fun filled process and a life changing journey for many of the finalist. I spoke to a few of them at the event and they certainly enjoyed being part of this opportunity. The recruiting process can be seen on the DDEM Facebook page where the finalist showcases the many talents they have which makes them all very unique.  I can assure you that selecting a winner must have been tough, by the panel which consisted of five judges. One of which was designer Wayne Govender, who had 15% voting power (as did the other judges) along with CEO Dennis Davids having 30%. The finalist had 10% voting power which accumulated to 100%. Donae-lee will be stepping into that role as the face of the company for 2015. DDEM Management has mentioned that they are looking forward to working with her and have a few exciting projects lined up including charity events.

I enjoyed this evening thoroughly, especially being able to meet some of Cape Town’s socialites and many other stylistas. The atmosphere at this event was overwhelming as Justin and I entered but we slowly eased into it with some delicious snacks and wine (Appletiser for Justin lol). Thereafter, we watched a stunning performance by a very talented lady Diva Salome who got us all singing along and feeling the beat.

I leave you with some pictures taken a video clip for you to watch and see how the evening transpired. For more info on DDEM check their site or follow on twitter and Facebook.

Thank you for reading and as always your comments are welcome! :-)

23rd March 2015

I can remember my mom planning and my  10th birthday party of which was the only birthday party I had as a child L lol. Fortunately Bronx Woman invited me to their birthday celebrations hosted by Girl About Town PR Company. This fun pink and a touch of gold a fair made up for all the lost birthday parties with candy floss, pop corn, lovely drinks from 4th Street Wines, yummy macaroons and many more delicious treats.

Tracy Lange was the MC who explained to us the journey of Bronx Woman along with a preview of their new Autumn collection “The Frow”. Showing us a collection of boots and shoes that hung from an amazing light installation. ‘The ‘FRow” is all about being on point and fashion forward, Bronx Woman always claims to be FRow ready as they are able to deliver an on trend lux winter ranges.

This season, the Bronx Woman team started out by expanding and pushing the styling of their hugely popular boot offering through the use of various detail and silhouettes. From the equestrian inspired riding boot to the delicate stiletto heel or grungy combat boot, the collection boasts something for every gal. Platforms, wedges, zips, quilting and buckles - this is the brand’s most exciting boot portfolio to date! And I have to add my favourite! I was not surprised by the blocked hills range or the detailed  high top sneakers that adds edge to a causal outfit . This collection would certainly take all you beesy bees from day time work look to night out on the town.

If you need to check if your favorite comes in more than one colour, or if you would like to check if they stock the size for your mom, sis and best friends lol then check Bronx Woman now for more info. Before I go, I would like to know  which pair would you be getting this season ? I leave you now to feast your eyes on these pictures taken at this event.

Lots of Love

Hey Ladies and all the daddy's girls out there.
Toy Nail Polish S.A held an amazing event
Yes, Friday the 13th
I  can guarantee you that nothing spooky happened at all.

It was an afternoon of fun, smooth beats and free ,manicures thanks to Toy Nail Polish South Africa. All the daddy’s girls and mama’s were spoiled with paints of their choices while also enjoying a fantastic atmosphere at the Grand Daddy Hotel. This hotel is situated in Long Street ,Cape Town and I have passed by many times, but I have never actually been inside. Zaheerah and I headed to town after work to ease into the weekend, we arrived at the hotel to find that this event was held on the rooftop.

The Sky Bar area had a very relaxing feeling just what we needed after a long week. Magdalene , one of my very stylish Miss2Beesy blog follower and her friend already had their nails pained. After they showed off their nails we took some fun selfies which you can find on the Miss2Beesy facebook page.

The FoxBox station was already occupied , but Zaheerah and I sipped on the Mojio’s after our waiter assured us that the Granddaddy makes the best in town.Mmmmhhh and they definitely lived up to their promise , it was yummy as we could really taste the mins and lemon infused together.
It was then our turn to get our manicures done and the friendly FoxBox ladies worked their magic. Lisa, first buffed my nail before placing the Toy nail primer on. I could then see it was not just about painting your nails and then off you go! But about the true quality of toy nail polish, service provided ,maintaining and nourishing one’s nails. This was really more that what was bargained for and really great as it was given all for free…Now that’s a spoil hay! After the primer ,she then allowed me to choose if I wanted a matte or glow  the dark finish. I opted for the matte effect, feeling a little Kim K inspired and choose the manadarina shade. The matte effect is created by applying the Toy artic matte nail polish over the shaded painted on the nails,Lisa finished it with the sparkling cosmo creating a little nail art. Zaheerah liked the cosmoic supernova the complimented the nude shade she already had on her toes.
WOW! I would relive these moments anytime…I am so sorry if you missed it.Yet , you can create your very own daddy’s girl treat by telling your dad to hop over to the Toy Nail Polish South Africa site to get your favourite shade. That will surely make it easier to look for birthday gifts ideas etc. Winx

Thanks you for reading my post.
I would love to hear what you think.

J&B MET 2015

Hello Ladies and Gents.
It’s been almost a week since the most prestigious event in Cape Town known as the J&B Met 2015, an event that takes place annually as you might know. With the theme MADE FOR THE MIX many people who attended this event incorporated it well into their costumes and also added their own personal touch to it, like the winning couple of the most elegant couple competition. Tickets for the met was R125.00 for general access and VIP was charged from R1450.00 and more per person.

Many local celebrities and familiar faces attended on the day which granted many of us the opportunity to meet new friends and also catch up with the old. A few other fashion bloggers attended as well such as Mix’d Fashions, Faith, Fashion and Living Fabulously, One stiletto at a time, Fashionista CT and Just Jade etc.
This was my first ever Met experience and I enjoyed every moment especially the complementary cocktails lol that Mixy and I found ourselves sipping on. My favourite was the one mixed with J&B urban honey which was nice and sweet. Moreover the atmosphere was amazing while watching the race as well as watching live performances by Jimmy Nevis and Mi Casa was also on the program for the day. Various food stalls cooked up their delicious selections of meals and treats which I thought was great as the price ranges was affordable and reasonable, Justin had a delicious steak shawarma which was at a cost of R50.00 and was quite filling.

I have to add that my feet was really aching by the end of the day and will defiantly not be wearing hills to the event again. We preferred not just sitting all day but walking around and meeting the crowed so walking on hills was the only down side by the end of this event for me. However I was dressed in this printed bodycon from River Island Canal Walk which I thought was a mixture on its own together with coral hills, my favourite colour at the moment found at MRP. Yet as you might know your MET outfit or costume has to be complimented with some sort of headgear which I found at Accessorize SouthAfrica.
I liked that it had a little net in front which I honestly didn’t know how to wear up until when I met the lovely Jacqueline Kolbe owner of JK Millinery at the Watershed in the V&A Waterfront Cape Town. Jacqueline was able to show me how to flip my net so that it does not scratch my eye and still look fashionable. I have to admit that I have never heard about JK Millinery up until when Lizelle van der Westhuizen told Mixy and I where her hat was from. I enquired some more and checked out their site which I suggest you should do too or like their Facebook page as I now know where to find my hat for any occasion. Jk Millinery offers a wide selection of hats ranging from cocktail hats, sun hats and more which to me is a huge time saver and a big problem solved meaning I don’t have to go and run around for something stylish anymore.
Mixy’s shoes had many people starring at it and I am convinced that many people will remember her by it, but here are some pictures of people dressed in the MADE FOR THE MIX theme.

That's my Met experience and thanks for reading!
Will I be seeing you there next year (God Willing) ???

Have you heard about the Odyssey Fashion Project or have you been seeing the hash tag OFF2014 all over social media? Well I was fortunate enough to have one of the best seats at the show so that I can tell you all about it. If you reading this and attend the actual event please feel free to comment and tell me all about your experience as I am about to share mine.
Attending this event was a first timer for me and I was extremely excited to attend. Before Saturday I read up some more about this fashion fair as I was unsure what to expect. However this show met all my expectancies and beyond. I read that it is known for showing off the latest and greatest of Cape Town’s fashion designs and I have to fully agree. The event was held at the Old Mutual Country Yard in Pinelands with great seating especially for the VIP’S winx. I liked it as the audience was so close to the models which ultimately means we were able to see a little more detail of the “art work” (Yes! fashion is pure art to me) they were wearing.  DDEM Management sponsored the event and made the evening possible along with the #OFF2014 team.
Before I tell you about the designs that left me starring at it endlessly. I also met a few amazing people and was able to finally meet people that I often see on social media in person like Mika Lee from Mix’d Fashion and Bianca Hartel from Simply Siyaam. However surprisingly I happened to bump into a former college and friend who happens to be the founder / CEO of DDEM Management.  This was just another highlight of the evening.

The following designs are all created by designers from in and round Cape Town, South Africa. I support local designers one hundred percent and I will try to do so forever. I hereby urge you to please attend events similar to the OFF in order to keep intact with what our very own talented designers offer. My ultimate views on the designs are wearable: Sometimes I watch fashion shows and don’t fully see myself wearing an entire outfit designed but just one piece of it or just admire the colour. Yet all the designs showed at this event was wearable and appealing to me. Secondly classic and seemed effortless but most of all very colour full. Overall the show was amazing with breathtakingly gorgeous designs which is kind of sad because now I want them all…sigh! But in the mean time I will be drooling over these.

My entire outfit of the night was from MRP.
Check their web page for more.

Thanks for reading and check Miss2Beesy Facebook page for more pictures in the Odyssey Fashion Fair album.

V&A Waterfront Mall Cape Town

They say the fastest live the longest and I can guarantee you if you want to be fast fashion forward and ready for spring this is certainly the place to be.

The grand opening of the New Mr Price Concept store has really been the talk of the town and mentioned in almost every magazine I came across this week. I definitely do think this is not going to be the end of the buzz anytime soon. With many moments day dreaming about the opening I finally made my way to the Waterfront and while driving in I saw how many happy customers left with their MRP SHOPPING BAGS! And boy this made me even more anxious while looking for parking I felt as if I could just get out the car and run to the store lol. Shew! As if there would be nothing left for me to choose from. *cantwatchface*

Anyway, finally got to the store which made me smile and so overwhelmed. The look and feel of the store is new and very unique in comparison to many other MRP’S. It’s extremely technologically innovative with supper cool gadgets which is a first for me to be found in any other clothing store. Blends in with the Up Market of the Waterfront very well but what I sincerely hope is that the high standards set will be kept like this forever. I had the privilege to speak to the head of the visual department and he says many more changes are to come as time progresses.

Many Amazing pieces in store and an exclusive range from the ELLE Rising Star Award Winner Nick Coutts Range. Who is one of our very own local designers and have been part of the MRP team since 2013 after being awarded. I was drawn to his collection minutes after I stepped into the store and added one of his pieces to my look which you will see down below.

Fortunately I was able to complete all the taking in a wink so that I can get to the most exciting part and start playing dress up. Now if you don’t know, this store also has stylist on duty that are there to help customers put a look together which is even better than just looking in a mirror if you ask me. They ensure that you purchase the correct clothing that suits your needs, size and style so that you can leave as happy as I did.Winx

ONE OF THE BEST STYLIST WHAT A HUMBLE FELLA :-)

                                                         ONLY @#mrpVandA

And I thank you too!

I hope it was an enjoyable read and please feel free share what you think about the store as soon as you have gone to shop your most fav items for your spring look.

What I wore:

Cameo Jacket: Zara
Maroon Jersey: Forschini
D shorts: Made by Miss2Beesy
Ankle Boots: Woolies
Statement Necklace: MRP

July 24th -26th was the ultimate highlight for many fashion designers ,fashion houses, the media in all aspects , fashion bloggers and all those who has a passion for fashion which certainly includes me. This takes place annually at the Cape Town International Convention center. Designers take this opportunity to showcase their beautiful designs. I truly believe it’s a time when some of the greatest master pieces and artwork becomes alive and walks the runway confidently.

However this was not on my event calendar for the month but I bet you I would not miss it for the world. After sending off a couple off emails and speaking to my amazing boyfriend a.k.a personal chauffeur   on the eve of the MBFWCT kickoff. I managed to get into the event in pure Miss2Beesy style. Wearing a white lace blazer strictly fitted to my body made by my personal dressmaker and designed by none other than my mama dearest. Remaining in my version of Monochrome which Gavin Rajah nicely explains in one of the articles posted on his Facebook page. In explaining how the design was created for the dress which was identical to the one Zunaid Murad showcased. Oooopsie so if you caught my drift there was some designer drama this year. Sounds a bit like the Bold and the Beautiful hay?

Enough of that let’s begin with the amazing designs Shana W35T has exhibited this year. This was the last show for Thursday and ended off the first day of the fashion week on a high note. Shana is a young local designer from none other than the mothercity who collaborated with W35T. Designs  are mostly hand printed or screen printed which is very time consuming yet as you know this is where more quality is added to a very  unique garment that can be treasured forever.

Firstly I have to add not only was I in love with her designs but the footwear wow beauty on another level. Every pair on my wish list thinking I want then thinking no I need after each model stepped out. I will allow the pictures to speak for themselves in order to get a feel of what exactly she’s all about. To me Shana was a bit more serious in her work in comparison to W35T.  That’s why I liked that they had her up first as her little black cocktail dresses seemed more bold sophisticated and flirtatious.

Picture: http//

W35T at the other hand was much more laid back, soft, feminine and relaxing I got an I don’t care message with a bit of this is my style and I am pleased with it kind of thing. The summers Sunday afternoons chill out on the balcony sipping some sundowners with good music and friends’ kind of look. In my opinion is true fashion week variety with some attitude as we should all be happy with who we are and still becoming which is portrayed in what we wear each day. With all the designs showcased by this designer the summer sliders made some waves ladies. So watch out for this during the upcoming season it will defiantly be a hot item. If you check the Mr. Price page you will see that MR.P has been in the forefront and will be stocking up on these sliders should you be looking for a pair or two? It comes in a range of designs, bold colours and prints at a very affordable price. Will you be getting them as I am still very unsure and still trying to get my style mind around it. Leave a comment and tell me what your thoughts are around it please.

Picture: http//

I thoroughly enjoyed this event and really looking forward to the next fashion week. It’s not just the actual event that gets me excited but the preparation work, press releases and all other things that goes with it. Now to see how many brands and stores incorporates these #MBFWCT ideas and designs in their summer ranges.

Which makes me think I am in need of a new summer wardrobe winx.

Franschhoek Bastille Festival 2014 Celebrating its 21ST Anniversary

Did you know that there’s an annual bastille festival that takes place in Franschhoek which is just about approximately 75km out of central Cape Town.  This took place this year over the weekend of the 12th to 13th July and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Including the fact that I was so tired when arriving home as it was all worth it.

It all began by waking up very early ready to hit the long road just after sunrise. Luckily I had my best friend along which made it much more fun. We stopped for a small breakfast close to Stellenbosch on route to the amazing festival. The anticipation built up while driving most roads was decorated with red, white and blue sheets indicating and leading all the visitors into town. When arriving I was completely amazed at how everybody was participating and how many people actually take part in this feast.

The Bastille festival basically commemorates and celebrates centuries-old French Huguenot heritage. I have to admit how fortunate I was to indulge in a feast of mouth-watering foods, the finest wines and all the fun that happens throughout the festival. After all this is exactly what the festival is all about.
And yes just in case you’re wondering there was clothes (my faves) and many new amazing designs which I discovered while being there. New upcoming designers exhibiting their creations and keeping the Bastille Festival on point with fashion trends. Whoop!
So ladies and gentlemen next year when you do decide to enjoy this festive experience make sure you invite all your friends and family. The Bastille fest is surly something for the entire family and the more the merrier. Franschhoeks Main Street in town is where it goes down which leads to a huge marquee tent which showcases many live performances to get your groove on. This festival made me feel as if I was in another country as it’s really something different to the usual street festivals. Yet you won’t understand until you’re experienced it for yourself just make sure ladies you wearing your red, blue or white “regalia” which I didn’t pack in but luckily got one at the festival.

Now will you attend next year because you will certainly bump into me! Here’s some style ideas to ensure you feel and look like a French girly with your regalia winx... Enjoy. TB

Something new, something different and something developing time and time again. Friday 27st June 2014 I was fortunate enough to be available and along with NACTV which is hosted on Cape Town TV attend this amazing event.

This all started out last year when a group of young and innovative friends from the New Apostolic Church brainstormed ideas on how to bring youth in the community and church surroundings together. This concept then evolved and now inform of a concert with a live band accompaniment. Miss2Beesy presented this on behalf of the channel.
With two vibrant MC'S complimented all the items and got everyone off their seats. Miss2Beesy a volunteer TV presenter for the channel was able to speak to the initiators and leaders of the church. This is a remarkable concept and all started in the Mitchells Plain Area Cape Town Western Cape. This was wonderful gave me an opportunity to gain lots of knowledge and experiences. Miss2Beesy surly spent her Friday evening well and how about you? winx ... looking forward to the next event.

Thank you for reading
